Elite Lord of Alliance Closed Beta this October
Elite Lord of Alliance is a Korean MMORPG, which means you’ll experience vibrant colors and mythical characters that you’ll customize and make your own. Fun and exciting gameplay will lure in a lot of gamers. ELOA has a lot of room for skill as players can switch stances mid-battle to unlock different skills.
A big hit already in Asia, closed beta was opened on October 13th, allowing players to get a taste of the game for themselves.
Introduction to Elite Lord of Alliance
Free to play and enjoy, ELOA is a 3D Action MMORPG with intense fighting among players and guilds. The truly unique aspect of the game comes from the fighting style that you’ll be able to choose.
Much like Diablo, you’ll click to move your toon, but you can also use your keyboard if you please.
Thrilling combat comes in two forms:
- 3 stances
- Weapon options
You can switch stances and weapons in the heat of battle. Every class has three weapon options that allows you to gain or lose certain abilities and skills. This means you can enter a battle where you’ll need laser focus to kill one mob, so you might choose a weapon that has single attack benefits.
If you’re being overrun by mobs, you might switch to another weapon that has AOE benefits.
This reduces the amount of button smashing seen in a lot of MMOs. And, you’ll be able to choose a playstyle that really suits your character rather than a predefined task, such as a tank or damage dealer only.
There are raids, dungeons and intricate PvP battles to engage in as well.
There are 4 races and 5 classes to choose from. Like any MMO, you’ll find that you have a tank, damage and healer type of class available with different abilities seen in the three stances. The classes you can choose from are:
- Blood Knight
What I really like about ELOA is that you can choose to be a healer, but your healer can also deal damage. When you’re out in the world, you can choose your Witchcraft stance and deal damage before switching to your healer stance and helping heal your group.
The game allows you to be a versatile player.
When you first create your character, you’ll be able to pick among the four races, and customize your character. While I would like to see more customization, ELOA does give you more control over the way your character looks than most MMOs.
And, don’t forget that this is a fantasy game, so you’ll enjoy exaggerated features, fun hair colors and a lot of other customizations.
When you enter the game, you’ll find that there is a lot to do:
- PvP: Players can battle other players in an attempt to become a lord. This is just a small yet fun part of the game.
- Quests: Traditional quests are included that will have you collect items, kill mobs and level up your character.
- Dungeons: You can choose to group up with players in your world, or use the dungeon finder to enter groups and go through epic instances with great gear and loot along the way.
- Raids: High level characters can enter into raids and enjoy truly epic and diverse battles with large groups of players.
Another awesome addition to the game are pets. These are pets that are more than just your buddies in combat. If you’ve ever played a hunter in World of Warcraft, you know how annoying it can be to have a big bear as a pet and not be able to ride it, or a dinosaur for that matter.
In Elite Lord of Alliance, you can collect and level your pets and even combine them. Pets can be turned into mounts or travel companions.
You’ll be geared with a Monster Encyclopedia that allows you to hunt specific monsters throughout the world. And, you also have the option of disguising yourself as one of the monsters to get close and land the kill.
It’s fun, and very different from what you’re used to in the traditional MMO-sense.
When you play the game, you’ll start to become more powerful. Through quests, raids and PvP combat, you’ll grow in power until you transform into an Elite Lord. This transformation allows you to be extremely powerful, but it’s only temporary. This is an amazing feat, and one that you’ll use along the way to cut down the most dangerous foes in the world.
With an anime-style and an isometric view, you’ll find the open world to be seamless and fun.
I’ll admit that the English adaptation of the game does not have a robust website with information provided. In fact, it has very little information about the game. And, unless you can read Korean, you won’t be able to read the company’s main website that has a lot of information about the game, and even a player’s guide to help you level up faster.
What the English version does have is an active forum where you can ask questions and interact with other players.
You’ll need to register for the forum to start communicating with others. This is where you’ll learn about in-game bugs, current class discussions and a slew of other information.
Gold sellers and farmers will want to get their hands on every F2P game so that they can find ways to diversify their income. The closed beta just opened up, and you can register to get into beta by clicking here.
You can even sign up via Facebook or Google+, so you don’t even have to enter in your information.
Elite Lord of Alliance is a beautiful game with a very fun, skill-based approach to combat. You’ll find a lot of ways to monetize ELOA, and starting by playing in beta will give you an insight into ways that you can profit off the game.
ELOA is a big hit in Asia already, and I expect it to be a big hit in North America as well.
