BlizzCon Virtual Tickets and Goodie Bags
BlizzCon is the event that gamers wait for all year. The 2015 event will be held over two days from November 6th – 7th. Traditionally, fans of Blizzard would have to make the trek all the way to California to attend the big event, but there has been a major change announced: the first ever virtual ticket sale.
You don’t have to beat the crowds for BlizzCon tickets that sellout overnight, and you can watch the entire event live in HD quality.
How the Virtual Ticket Works
Limited to just one ticket per Battle.net account, the virtual ticket for this year’s event provides access to the broadcast in English only. Broadcasted live in Pacific Time, the event will be held on November 6th – 7th, but anyone with a virtual ticket will gain access to replays for 2 weeks after the event has concluded.
You’ll be able to relive the fun and learn all of the fine details of Blizzard’s upcoming games.
What’s Happening at 2015 BlizzCon?
There are several great benefits of buying a virtual ticket. First and foremost, there is a lot of content and information to be consumed, including:
Get the Inside Scoop
All of the latest and greatest information for all Blizzard titles will be shared. You’ll learn about game advances, patches and updates before anyone else in the world – aside from fellow BlizzCon attendees, of course.
The games that will be covered include:
- World of Warcraft
- Diablo III
- StarCraft II
- Heroes of the Storm
There are developer panels that will take place, and include a long list of questions and answers with all of your favorite game developers. This is an inside look into the life behind the games you play from talking with the designers and artists to creative employees that make up the storyline behind games.
One topic that is always discussed at length during the event is the latest happenings in World of Warcraft.
Still the largest MMORPG in the world, WoW has just released information about their upcoming expansion. Traditionally, people that attend BlizzCon learn more about the new expansions that are coming – especially in WoW. You’ll find out a plethora of new information that hasn’t been released online just yet.
A truly fun event. Contests take place on Friday night and will be streamed for your enjoyment. There is a tradition of two contests per year that always take place:
- Talent Contest: Live attendees will have the pleasure of showing off their unique talents for the whole crowd to see.
- Costume Contest: One of the liveliest events ever to take place. Fans of Blizzard’s biggest titles will compete in an epic costume party. You’ll see Orcs, Gnomes and all of your favorite heroes on stage.
Contests are a lot of fun and are a testament to the close community of Blizzard fans.
Known for breaking the eSports barrier, there are always eSport events that take place. Watch your favorite players and teams take on the developers or each other in combat from arena to epic StarCraft battles.
Every year, BlizzCon has a conclusion that shocks and awes the fans. The company has not released information about what legendary conclusion will take place, but every year is bigger and better than the last.
In-Game Goodies and Add A Goody Bag
There’s no denying that the in-game goodies from BlizzCon are simply awesome. You’ll get some of the most exclusive, unique items in-game that are extremely valuable, especially for account sellers.
When you purchase a virtual ticket, you’ll also have the following attached to your Battle.net account:
- Character cosmetic upgrades
Blizzard always conceals exactly what fans will get as far as in-game items, but every year there are awesome, unique items from every game that will be included.
The Add a Goody Bag is something new that Blizzard has never offered before. Available to just those that have a virtual ticket, you’ll now be able to purchase a goody bag with physical items. These are the same bags that all attendees will receive when they go to BlizzCon in-person.
Note: There are a limited supply of Goody Bags available, so they will sell out rather fast if you don’t act now.
What will the goody bag include?
We got the inside scoop on some of the items you can expect to find in this year’s goody bag, including:
- A collectible pin
- Vinyl characters
- 3D Overwatch emblem
- Diablo keychain
- Heartstone luggage tag
- Protoss Psi Blade
The Protoss Psi Blade is definitely the best item included in your bag. Inflatable, this blade won’t be the deadly masterpiece you see in games, but it will look like it. It’s one of the coolest gifts offered and is an once-in-a-lifetime gift, meaning you can get your hands on this unique blade for just a short time.
Costs are relatively low, with virtual tickets sold for $34.99 and all goody bags sold for $34.99.
Making Money Off of BlizzCon
If you want to turn a profit off of BlizzCon, you’ll want to view this as a long-term investment. We recommend buying the virtual ticket and adding the Goody Bag to your purchase. The in-game items are always tied to your account, so unless you plan on selling your account, you won’t be able to profit off of them.
Those that don’t mind selling their account should wait a few months and sell their accounts when the price rises.
The same idea can be applied to the Goody Bag. Collectors and fans that weren’t able to attend the physical or virtual event will want to get their hands on these one-of-a-kind items. You’ll see a lot of people selling these items for two or three times their price once the event is over. Why? People will pay for a piece of BlizzCon history.
A quick search on eBay shows people selling:
- 2014 goody bags for $70+.
- A bag from 2008 is selling for $100+.
These are bundles. Individual items sell for a lot more. Back in 2005, Blizzard offered a Murloc Loot Card that allowed WoW players to get an awesome Murloc pet. This pet, or rather its loot card, is selling for $3,750 – $9,999 each. That is an insane price for any game item.
What items will be included with this year’s BlizzCon that you can sell?
