Begin your legendary quest: The Warlords of Draenor legendary quest rewards a powerful ring with an ilvl of 640, which you can start at level 98. The quests are long and will take some time to complete, but are totally worth it.
Prep Garrison for raiding: If you’re seriously into raiding, consider getting a tavern or inn, a barrack or a mage tower, profession buildngs, a barn and salvage yard. Build a lumber mill to generate resources as well as Apexis Crystals, which can be used to purchase some nice gear upgrades.
Apexis Crystals are a new currency in Warlords of Draenor where you can buy all kinds of things, like vanity pets and even raid-ready gear with an item level of 630 that can be further upgraded. Plan ahead on which structures to build that could help you in the long run.
Upgrading your weapons: The moment you hit level 100, you should start the proving grounds quest – given by Warmaster Zog (Horde) and Lieutenant Thorn (Alliance) in your garrison.
This quest will award you with an ilvl 610 weapon. Start gearing up and run heroic dungeons.
Run heroic dungeons: Four new dungeons are unlocked upon reaching level 100 and a total of eight 5-man instances to get all the required loots. Most of the items are ilvl 630 which are useful for a fresh level 100 character.
You should try the new Challenge Modes if you’re in good group or guild – where you need to complete the dungeon at the shortest time possible for rewards like “The Undaunted” title, mounts and even new skins for your class.
PvP Junkies: Start collecting “Artifact Fragments” at Ashran for PvP gears with an item level of 660. Ashran is a new cross realm zone for only level 100 and a large scale battleground for 100 vs 100 world PvP battle on the island.
There are some PvE type activities and objectives in Ashran, but be aware that you will automatically be flagged for PvP while you’re there.
Faction reputations: In Warlords of Draenor, the faction repuations work a little different than before. Hunt for treasures and kill rare elites to improve your reputation with a particular faction.
While you’re at it, some rare monsters even drops “binds on equip” gears which can be sold later at the Auction house for extra WoW gold.
Flipping Auction House: Plenty of new items in the content mean the Auction House economy will be unstable. You could make serious gold on the Auction House with rare items and even crafted stuff.
Potions, consumables, flasks, gems, and enchantments for other classes might be a good thing to start with. Vanity items and mounts could be profitable too. If you’re in dire need of gold to start flipping items on the auction house, you can always get some cheap gold for World of Warcraft EU and World of Warcraft US.
